There are so many outdoor gear deals on Black Friday that it can be hard to decipher which are actually the best deals and which ones are nothing special. You want to spend your money only on the sale items that give you the most bang for your buck, especially at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s.
In case you didn’t know, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s are both giant outdoor retailers that are part of the same company. So their products, prices, and promotions are all identical.
I spent an entire day combing over the ad, walking the store to check out the products, and making a video about this. The goal was to identify which Black Friday deals are the best ones for hunting, fishing, and camping gear.
Feel free to watch the video instead, but if you prefer a quick skim, below you’ll find a list of my top picks.

Best Black Friday Deals at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s in 2023
Some products are on sale the whole week of Black Friday, but these are some of the doorbuster type items that won’t be on sale until it’s actually Black Friday, November 24, 2023.
NOTE: The prices listed are temporary sale prices for Black Friday 2023 only. They are subject to change. Confirm current prices in store or on Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shops’ websites. Last updated on November 22, 2023.
A smokin' deal on a comfy hoodie, this would make a great bonus gift for someone to unwrap without spending a bunch of money.
These trendy trucker hats are buy two, get one free on Black Friday at either Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's. Even if you're not into being trendy, they are comfortable hats. I've got one that I wear all the time.
I have one of these and while it may not be the fanciest trail cam out there, it is functional and simple to use. At $80 off, two for a hundred bucks is a steal!
This will be a fantastic price on Black Friday for a useful piece of gear that any outdoors man or woman would be smart to have in the woods, especially if they go solo. But take note that this is the original inReach Mini. I have the Garmin inReach Mini 2 which is more compact, lighter weight, and has some upgrades to tech. So Black Friday isn't the only reason this is cheap, it's probably on its way out.
Buy one, get one free on all base layers for men, women, and kids at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's on Black Friday, 2023. Never hurts to have a spare set of thermals and twenty bucks for a set is a great buy!
Best Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops Deals Available All Week
The following hunting, fishing, and camping gear is on sale all week long (November 20-26, 2023) at either Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s, both in-store and online.
This is a great buy on a warm shirt that is great all winter long. It's just the right amount of warmth for indoors and a perfect layer for outdoors when you're ice fishing or doing chores. I plan to pick one of these up myself.
I also would like one of these classic flannel shirts because the quality feels good and they come in a variety of color schemes that aren't all obnoxious.
I love this jacket for everything from doing chores to checking the mail on a cold windy day. Unfortunately, this Black Friday sale is only available to Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's Club Members, meaning you have to have their credit card. Normally its $120. An alternative is the RedHead work jacket, which is also on sale.
Just about every dad, grandpa, or husband gets socks from someone for Christmas, so they might as well be these. This is the type of sock I wear in the Fall and Winter and they're perfect.
My wife and daughters love soft, comfy sweaters and these from Natural Reflections would make an excellent gift for someone or for yourself. There are a variety of options on sale from knit to fleece designs.
At 25% off Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops have a lot of fun toys on sale. My son loves these types of adventure sets with cars, boats, and figurines to play with. This float plane set is probably my favorite that I saw in the store.
We had a tent like this when my kids were toddlers and they played in it all day inside or outside. It's affordable and fun for a gift or for Grandma and Grandpa's house.
My wife says it's cheating, but I love these inflatable Christmas yard decorations. They're fun, they make the kids smile, and they keep me off a ladder! Bass Pro Shops has some funny ones.
I don't know if these are fun or gross. Probably both. I wouldn't wear them to Cancun, but I would gift them to my brother.
I have one of these and I use it all the time! All Bass Pro Shops vacuum-insulated drinkware is buy one, get one 50% off for Black Friday. I recommend this can cooler.
This isn't the cheapest I've ever seen this stove, but it's a good price for an awesome camp stove that's reliable and will last forever. We have even used one of these outdoors for canning fruits and vegetables at home. Propane tank not included.
This may not be the most heavy-duty meat grinder Cabela's makes, but it's a great place to start if you want to process your own game meat or make bratwurst at home. That's about as cheap as they'll come on Black Friday.
Same story as the meat grinder above, but this is a great place to start for a vacuum sealer that will help you start preserving your own food.
This is a cooler I know very well and it's a solid performer. It took first and second place in two ice retention challenges I did with 50 other coolers (read full article here). It's $50 off for Club Members only during Black Friday and that's a great buy!
While these Prodigy fishing rod and reel combos may not be top-of-the-line, they're a couple notches up from cheap junk. Both spinning and baitcasters available.
At 40% off, this is a great price for a decent quality spinning reel.
Even if you see this fish finder as entry-level, cheap, or basic, it has been around for a long time and still reigns as one of the most affordable options that does the job well enough for most folks. At $100, it's a steal. Check out our full review on the Garmin Striker 4 fish finder for more info.
This is probably the best deal of all at the Cabela's/Bass Pro Shops Black Friday sale this year. Normally the Ascend 10T kayak alone costs $700, but here you get a paddle and a life vest with it for $500. It's not high-end by any stretch, but it's a great entry point for kayak fishing. My son wants one bad.
I have a pair of Walker's Razor earmuffs I use as hearing protection while target shooting and I love how you can adjust the sound level. You can still hear people talk while protecting your ears from loud gun shots. This is a fantastic buy on them!
I don't have a steel target yet, but I shot a couple for the first time recently with Ron Spomer when he was teaching me to shoot better. Not only is the audible feedback helpful when shooting out at larger ranges, but it's very satisfying to hear. While $70 still seems expensive to me for what it is, it turns out they're pretty spendy and this is a good price.
Not only are these useful for ammo, but these are great for storing all kinds of camping gear. It can even protect camera gear or electronics from getting banged up in the truck or wet in the rain. When it's that cheap, why not!?
It never hurts to have a couple extra camo t-shirts, and twenty bucks for two is hard to beat. They have sizes and fits for the men, women, and kids.
I like a good hoodie and these gradient camo hoodies are soft and stylish among certain non-city slicker folks like myself who actually don't care about fashion. Available for the whole family with either Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's logos.
While it's still not cheap even on Black Friday, all Sitka gear is 25% off at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's which makes it about as cheap as you'll ever find it. I love my Sitka Jetstream jacket. It's lightweight and versatile as a soft shell that works great as my outer layer from early mornings of the early season to frigid late season hunts with layers underneath.
Inflatable life vests can cost upwards of $150, so sixty bucks for this one make it a bargain. Shed the bulk of a traditional PFD when you're on the boat or kayak with this little number.
A brand new shotgun for $200? That's a steal of a deal! I paid more than that for an old used Remington 870 at a pawn shop. This is a new style shotgun from Winchester where the pump action is assisted by inertia so you can supposedly cycle shells faster. Normally it's $350, but on sale for $275, then you have to send in for a $75 rebate for that final price, but I think it's worth the trouble.
